Resonant Openings

This series began with my observations of cracks and breaks in trees. Using mostly intuition, I began to manipulate the color and size of these images, making them large and basically white and black with silver and deep blue green. Removing the context of the images allowed them to take on metaphorical meanings that for me had tremendous force. Some are titled and some not.

All use oil stick on paper. These were done between 2004-2006
